Terms & Conditions

1. Nature of Foster Care

Fostering is a temporary caregiving arrangement. Ownership of the animal remains with Safescape Foundation at all times.

2. Foster Responsibilities

The Foster agrees to:

a. Provide a safe, clean, and secure environment for the animal

b. Ensure proper feeding, hygiene, and daily care

c. Treat the animal humanely and not subject it to abuse, neglect, or harm

d. Follow all care instructions provided by the Organization

3. Medical Care

The Foster agrees to:

a. Inform the Organization immediately in case of illness, injury, or unusual behavior

b. Not undertake major medical procedures or decisions without prior approval from the Organization, except in emergencies

c. Assist in administering basic medication if required and feasible

4. No Transfer or Rehoming

The Foster shall not give away, transfer, sell, or rehome the animal under any circumstances. All adoption decisions are the sole responsibility of the Organization.

5. Duration & Return

Foster duration will be mutually agreed upon. The Foster agrees to:

a. Return the animal upon request or at the end of the foster period

b. Provide reasonable notice if unable to continue fostering

6. Follow-Up & Coordination

The Foster agrees to:

a. Share updates, photos, or videos of the animal when requested

b. Cooperate in arranging adoption meets, check-ins, or transfers

7. Liability

The Foster understands that animals may behave unpredictably. The Foster agrees to take reasonable precautions and assumes responsibility for minor damages or incidents during the foster period. Safescape Foundation shall not be held liable for such incidents.

8. Expenses

Unless otherwise agreed:

a. Major medical expenses will be handled or approved by the Organization

b. Day-to-day expenses such as food and basic care may be borne by the Foster

9. Welfare Commitment

The Foster agrees to ensure the welfare of the animal in accordance with applicable laws, including the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.

10. Right to Reclaim

The Organization reserves the right to reclaim the animal at any time if the foster environment is deemed unsafe, unsuitable, or if any terms of this Agreement are violated.

11. Consent for Communication

The Foster consents to being contacted by Safescape Foundation for coordination, follow-ups, and support via phone, WhatsApp, or email.

12. Declaration

The Foster confirms that:

All information provided is true and accurate

They understand the responsibilities of fostering

They agree to abide by all the terms stated above
